Csányi Selection Elegance Cuvée
Vintage | 2003 |
---|---|
Grape variety | Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot |
Type | Vörösbor |
The wine was ageing in first use (new) French barrique (225 l) for a whole year. Most of the Cabernet Franc was harvested in Hársos vineyard, Merlot came from Csillagvölgy vineyard whereas Cabernet Sauvignon was harvested in legendary Kopár vineyard. Plenty of sunshine and fully ripened grape characterized the vintage, which is perhaps the best vintage of the decade. Deep ruby colour. Ripened, complex nose with black berries woven together with the earthy, spicy and toasty notes. The palate is unbelievably balanced, it commands respect. Rich fruitiness, velvety tannins and pleasant, long aftertaste. We recommend to serve it at 18 °C, and decanting or long aeration in the glass is also advised.
